영어 어법 질문이요!

I chose this book because it tells me about what only nurses can do.

I found it interesting that there were things only nurses could do.

여기서 윗문장은 can을 쓰고 아랫문장은 could 쓴 건 상관없나요??

첫 문장에서 과거 형이지만 현재의 의미를 부여한 것 처럼

두번째 문장도 진목적어에 현재형을 써서

으로 쓰시는 것이 논리적인 일관성이 있습니다.
